Technology is Bueno

As of right now, I am typing up a critique on modern technology on my computer. Yeah I could have done it the old fashion way and take a pen and write it on a sheet of paper, but how else would I be able to show my opinions off to the world? Yeah I could send it off to some newspaper company, but who says it’s going to get published? Technology has come a long way with the creation of the internet and all these crazy gadgets. With modern technology people are now able to break the barrier between known and not known. They are able to communicate with people in diverse ways. They are able to become efficient in the way that they live.

With the Youtube world it has seen to become the loophole from the normal life into the “famous” life. It is the very website which let’s anyone and everyone post videos of themselves saying whatever and however. Youtube celebrities are becoming just as well-known as the movie stars and singers. Websites like Youtube helps many people with developing self-character and also expression of oneself. Some users are able to make money to “pay the bills” by showing off their personality. Videos posted on this site vary, but all are created by people who in majority want to express their individuality by saying what they want and how they want. Referring to the Bill of Rights however, we can say that these websites have promoted the belief of “Freedom of Speech.”

Modern technology has drastically increased the ways people communicate with one another. Due to technology “the world is a smaller place and technology allows everyone to keep in touch with their families and friends at a more affordable cost. (BenefitOf)” Certain ways such as; Skyping, Facebooking, Tweeting, and etc. have made communicating with friends and family exponentially easier. Let’s use Facebook as an example. Facebook has come a long way from being a site where you add friends that you know (and don’t) to adding friends, tagging people in pictures, messaging/chatting, playing online games, and much more! Long distance relationships are almost being made possible!

With technological advancements, the medicine, government, business, and education world has become more efficient, by “reduc[ing] errors in mundane and monotonous chores, saving time and cost. (BenefitOf)” The internet has been the biggest contributor to these worlds. The internet provides an easier way to advertise, by posting advertisements on the majority of developed sites. Over a billion people have access to the internet which makes it not only an easy place to advertise ones products, but also an easy way to gather clients and customers, so forget the flyers, go straight to the internet and become not just a locally known business, but also be nationally known, hell even an internationally known business.

Technology has dramatically progressed over the years and the lives of people have changed with this progression. As technology continues to improve the lives of the people will only become more and more efficient.
